Australian Bush Hat Co banned from moncler
women coats touting 'Aussie
THEY call themselves The Australian Bush Hat Co and their headwear features
an Australian map along with a tag saying "Manufactured in Australia".
The only problem is the hats were actually made in India and imported into
Australia for trimming and finishing, according to the consumer watchdog.
The Australian Bush Hat Co has now been banned from making "misleading
country of origin claims about its hats, after action taken by the Australian
Competition and Consumer Commission.
The ACCC alleged that between 2006 and 2009 the labels attached to the hats
included the statement "Manufactured in Australia from Quality Imported and
Local Products", the company's name and a moncler
women vests map of Australia.
This "created the overall moncler men
vests impression that the hats were manufactured in Australia the ACCC
said.
The hats moncler
women jackets were sold in souvenir stalls and other outlets in Western
Australia.
The company has now agreed to court enforceable undertakings to stop making
moncler men
jackets the misleading countryoforigin claims, pay for corrective
advertising and replace all noncompliant stock.
ACCC Chairman Graeme Samuel warned that businesses must take care when making
http://www.cheapmonclerstore.com/ claims about the origin of
products.
"The (Trade Practices) Act allows companies to make the premium claim that a
product is made or manufactured in Australia if it has been substantially
transformed in Australia, and at least 50 per cent of the costs of manufacturing
the product have been incurred in Australia," he said.
"This was not the case in this instance and the work undertaken in Australia
in finishing the hats appears to be mainly cosmetic."
The company did not respond to emails and could not be reached by phone. It
explains that if you do not provide us with information we have requested from
you, we may not be able to provide you with the goods and services you require.
It also explains how you can access or seek correction of your personal

this is happening everywhere its a surprise only 1 company has been made news
worthy for it recently. i know from experience that a lot of things like shoes
that are stamped made in italy are simply not. they are made in china and when
they arrive in italy they simply glue tags or put finishing touches on them.
this scam has been going on for years overseas im not surprised that its going
on here i reckon it is on a big scale. manufacturing is dead in oz
unfortunately. moncler men
